Vaani vs Interakt

Vaani vs Interakt: buying breadth or buying depth.

Interakt sells a stack — CRM, inbox, campaigns, chatbot, AI on top. We sell one thing built deep into your systems. That is the entire decision, and which side you want depends on what you already own. Everything below about Interakt is from their own live site, checked 28 July 2026.

A suite and a specialist are priced to look alike

Interakt describes itself as a full-stack growth engine for marketing, sales and support, and a WhatsApp-first sales CRM. That is a suite pitch, and suites are often the correct purchase — replacing four subscriptions with one is genuine value, and the integration between the parts is work you do not have to do.

The trade a suite makes is that every component is good enough rather than deep. That is not a flaw; it is the design. A product covering marketing, sales and support cannot go as far into any one of them as a product that only does one. The question is whether the component you actually need is one where good enough is enough.

Buy the suite when

  • You do not yet have a CRM, an inbox or a campaign tool.
  • You want one vendor, one bill and one login.
  • Your automation needs are FAQ-shaped and predictable.
  • Breadth today beats depth later.

Buy the specialist when

  • You already run systems you are not replacing.
  • Answers must come from live stock and real prices.
  • The conversation has to finish a transaction, not log one.
  • The one gap is inbound, and it is expensive.

What Interakt says it is

Read off interakt.shop on 28 July 2026. Their figures, not ours.

  • Scale and audience. They state 50,000+ businesses globally, targeting small and mid-sized companies across B2B sales, travel, restaurants, salons, real estate and e-commerce.
  • A free Starter tier. Unlimited owner-role agents, one WhatsApp channel or Instagram, a basic linear chatbot and simple auto-replies, at no cost. That is a real on-ramp and worth taking seriously.
  • Growth at ₹2,799/month adds WhatsApp and Instagram together, unlimited agents across roles, advanced campaigns, catalogues and WhatsApp Forms.
  • Advanced at ₹3,799/month adds RCS, chatbot flows with branching, API calls and conditions, chat auto-assignment and advanced webhooks.
  • A separate Sales CRM plan at ₹2,499/month including five sales seats, with additional agents at ₹499 each.
  • AI Agents as a ₹3,000/month add-on on Growth or Advanced. They claim their AI agents answer queries, qualify leads, recommend products and automate up to 80% of queries — their published claim, which we have not tested.

Quarterly billing was listed as saving 8% and yearly 20%. There is a free trial and no setup fee, with self-serve onboarding on Starter and assisted onboarding above it.

Published message rates, side by side

This is the most useful table on any of these pages, because it is the line that scales with your volume rather than sitting flat. All three columns were read from published pages on 28 July 2026. Meta’s is the floor nobody can go below; the others include each platform’s margin.

Meta — the floor

Marketing ~₹0.86–0.88
Utility / auth ~₹0.12–0.13
Service free

Interakt — published

Marketing ₹0.949–0.970
Utility ₹0.140–0.160
Auth ₹0.127–0.129

AiSensy — published

Marketing ₹1.09
Utility ₹0.145
Auth ₹0.145

Two honest readings of that. First, Interakt’s marketing rate sits closer to Meta’s card than AiSensy’s does, and at high marketing volume that gap outruns the difference between their subscriptions — twenty paise across a hundred thousand sends is ₹20,000 a month, which no plan comparison will show you. Second, all of these move. Treat the table as a method rather than an answer: find the rate on each vendor’s own page, subtract Meta’s, and multiply by the volume you actually expect.

Interakt also advertise “no markup charges” on their Enterprise tier, which is a straightforward way of saying the lower tiers carry one. Naming it at all is more transparent than most. If your volume is large, ask what threshold unlocks that tier — it is likely worth more to you than any feature on the comparison grid. Our own answer is to pass Meta’s charge through at cost on every engagement, which we explain in full on what a WhatsApp AI agent actually costs in India.

Where the two genuinely diverge

Set pricing aside and one difference survives: what the automation is allowed to know, and what it is allowed to do.

A platform chatbot — even an advanced one with branching, conditions and API calls — is configured. You draw what should happen, and it happens. That is predictable, auditable and completely adequate for a large class of problems: opening hours, order status lookups, a qualification questionnaire, routing to the right team.

A grounded agent is built against your systems instead of configured against a canvas. It reads your live catalogue and stock rather than a synced snapshot, quotes prices that are correct at the moment of asking, holds an item, issues a payment link, writes the order into your sheet or ERP, and escalates refunds and complaints to a human with the full chat attached. When it does not know, it says so rather than guessing — which is the property that decides whether you can leave it running unattended at 2am.

The practical test costs you nothing: read a week of your real WhatsApp and count how many messages a drawn flow would have handled without dropping to a fallback. In a business where customers write in Hinglish, with typos, asking three things at once, that number is usually lower than the demo suggested.

Where Interakt is the better buy

  • You are starting from nothing. A free tier, then ₹2,799 a month for campaigns, inbox, catalogue and forms is a lot of surface area for the money, and assembling the same stack from separate tools costs more in both money and integration.
  • You want a sales pipeline on WhatsApp. The bundled CRM is a real product with roles and seats. We do not build one, and we would not pretend an agent replaces it.
  • You need Instagram or RCS in the same place. Multi-channel is on their roadmap in a way it is not on ours.
  • Your marketing volume is high. Their published marketing rate is closer to Meta’s floor, and there is a no-markup Enterprise tier to aim at.

Our case is the narrow one: the inbound is the problem, the answers have to be true at the moment they are given, and the conversation needs to complete a transaction rather than log it for someone. If that is not the shape of your week, the list above is the honest recommendation.

Keep comparing

Interakt is one of three shapes in this market. Vaani vs Wati covers the staffed multi-channel inbox, and Vaani vs AiSensy covers the broadcast-first platform. The full set, and the rules these pages are written under, are on the comparisons page.

If the category itself is still fuzzy, chatbot vs AI agent is the underlying question behind every add-on labelled AI on every one of these pricing pages.

Frequently asked questions

Is Vaani an Interakt alternative?
Partly. Interakt sells breadth — a WhatsApp-first sales CRM, a team inbox, campaigns, a chatbot builder and an AI add-on under one subscription. We sell depth on one of those: an agent that answers inbound against your live catalogue, stock and order systems. If you need the whole stack and do not have it yet, a suite is a rational purchase and replacing four tools with one subscription is real value. If you already have a CRM you like and the actual gap is that nobody answers WhatsApp properly, buying a suite to get the agent is paying for a lot you will not switch to.
Is Interakt's free plan enough to start with?
For finding out whether WhatsApp is a channel worth investing in, genuinely yes, and we would rather you did that than take our word for it. Their Starter tier was listed as free with unlimited owner-role agents, a single WhatsApp channel and a basic linear chatbot when we checked on 28 July 2026. What it will not tell you is whether an agent can handle your real questions, because a linear chatbot and a grounded agent fail in completely different places. Use the free tier to test demand, not to test automation.
What does Interakt's AI Agents add-on cost?
It was listed at ₹3,000 per month on top of a Growth or Advanced plan when we checked on 28 July 2026, with the base plans at ₹2,799 and ₹3,799 per month respectively. The pattern is worth noticing because it is the same across most of this market: the platform is the subscription, and the AI is an extra line. That is not a criticism of the pricing — it reflects the fact that the AI is a module on the platform rather than the thing the platform is.
What does 'No Markup Charges' on Interakt's Enterprise plan mean?
It means Meta's per-message rate is passed through at cost on that tier rather than resold with margin, which by implication is how the lower tiers work — their published India marketing rate of roughly ₹0.95 sits above Meta's card of roughly ₹0.86 to ₹0.88. Stating it as an Enterprise benefit is honest; plenty of providers never surface the concept at all. If your volume is large, that clause is worth more than most feature differences on the page and you should ask what threshold unlocks it.
Which WhatsApp platform has the lowest message rates in India?
The floor is whatever Meta charges, and nobody can go below it — so the real question is how much markup a provider adds on top. Among the published rate cards we checked on 28 July 2026, Interakt's India marketing rate of about ₹0.95 sat closer to Meta's card than AiSensy's ₹1.09 did, and Interakt advertises a no-markup Enterprise tier. Rates change every few months and volume tiers differ, so re-verify both against each vendor's live page before deciding. If you are sending marketing at scale, this line matters more than the subscription.
Do I need a sales CRM as well as a WhatsApp agent?
Only if you are running a pipeline that someone works — stages, follow-ups, owners, forecasts. Plenty of businesses selling over WhatsApp do not have that; they have orders, and an order needs to land in the system that fulfils it rather than in a pipeline. If you genuinely need CRM, buying it bundled is efficient. If you do not, a CRM you never open is the most common form of shelfware in this market.
