Generative AI Consulting

Generative AI consulting

We tell you where generative AI genuinely fits your business, what not to build, and what it will realistically cost per task.

The problem

Everyone is being asked whether their business should be doing something with AI. The question arrives in board meetings, from investors, from team leads who read an article on the flight. The honest answer is that some of what generative AI can do is genuinely useful for your business, and a lot of it is not — not yet, or not at your scale, or not given how your data is structured. The problem is that nobody neutral is helping you sort one pile from the other. The people building AI tools want you to buy them. The analysts want to write a report. You want a short list and a straight answer.

You stop guessing and start with a short, honest list of what to build first.

Built for: Leadership teams evaluating generative AI before committing budget or engineering time.

What we deliver

  • Use-case audit. We go through your operations and identify where repetitive, language-heavy work is happening today — drafting, summarising, classifying, translating. Those are the real candidates.

  • What not to build. We flag the ideas that sound good but fail in practice: cases where your data is too messy, the stakes are too high for autonomous output, or a simpler automation would do the same job for a fraction of the cost.

  • Feasibility and cost per task. For the ideas that survive, we estimate the realistic cost per thousand operations, the engineering effort required, and where the quality risks are. No made-up numbers.

  • A ranked shortlist. You get a written document with a prioritised list — what to build first, what to defer, and what to drop. The reasoning is explicit so your team can interrogate it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a financial interest in which option we pick?
We offer implementation services, so it would be dishonest to pretend we have no preference. What we can tell you is that our consulting engagements are priced separately from any build work, and we routinely conclude them by recommending that a client not build anything at all. A bad build is worse for everyone than a clear no.
How long does a consulting engagement take?
Usually two to three weeks. We spend the first week in your operations, the second week in the data, and the third writing the shortlist. If your situation is straightforward it can be faster; if your document landscape is complex it takes longer.
What if we just want a second opinion on a vendor's proposal?
That is a reasonable thing to want and a common reason people come to us. We read the proposal, ask the questions the vendor has not answered, and tell you whether the scope, the cost model and the quality claims are realistic.
